Shalom

‘Shalom Aleichem’ – a Hebrew greeting, a blessing meaning ‘peace be upon you’. To which you would reply in Hebrew ‘Aleichem Shalom’ – ‘upon you be peace’. This peace, the kind that changes lives, surpasses all understanding, is a wholeness, is a completion and a work of God, the Prince of Peace. This peace is for individuals, peoples, nations and the land itself. Shalom.
We are naming our new cabin ‘Shalom’.

As part of our continuing focus on healing & wholeness we are keen to offer space for individual retreat; spaces for those who need someone to share with; to talk and pray with as they journey on in life; space for some folk to work creatively; writing or journalling. So this latest cabin supported by the Dorothy Kerin Trust is a real joy to receive (view below) – thank you to all those who worked behind the scenes to enable it’s appearance. Come, and be part of our story by using our facilities and supporting the ministry by your donation. Come, and be blessed by God – for His Spirit is found here by many.

We are by nature a ‘place of peace’. Currently we are undergoing some building renovation. We are aware that these things do not happen without some disturbance – we are so grateful to our roofers, The Tenterden Roofing Company – who are being really mindful as they seek to work around us and we around them. The replacement windows were completed at the turn of the year and the refurbished roof should be complete around Easter. It’s a very exciting and encouraging time for The Living Well.

Our 4 cabins are all heated, and each has a unique character: Trinity, Julian, Kairos and now Shalom. Our space within the house is good for groups of up to 16 with a chapel and lounge and library and an Upper Room space which can be a separate venue for small groups. All of this requires prior booking but on a Thursday morning we hold worship at 10.30am and you are welcome to just turn up– prayer and anointing for healing is always available.

Shalom – just like the reciprocal greeting at the start, do pray for us as we pray for you. Lorraine
